HOW THE 10K-A-DAY PROGRAM WORKS
Get Your Employees More Active: The average American takes only 4,000 to 6,000 steps per day. The primary goal of the 10k-A-Day Program is to get your employees to take about 10,000 steps per day (or roughly 4 miles). This doesn’t mean that they have to cram a treadmill workout in during their lunch hour. Simply parking further away from the building or taking the stairs may be enough to accomplish the 10k-A-Day goal.
Counting and Tracking Steps is Easy: The 10k-A-Day Program will teach your employees to use a Digital Step Counter. Then, they will simply go to your company’s custom Log-Your-Walk™ website (which we provide and maintain for you) and enter their stats into your company’s private database. Using our proprietary software, they can track their daily walks, calculate calorie burn, view past walking logs and graph their progress.
